Our vision of Best Care is to provide person-centred, co-ordinated, right and safe care for every patient, every time, everywhere. Delivering Best Care within the complexity of our health system is not always easy. We would like to recognise the provision of Best Care by the Sunshine ICU, and we share the words of praise from Mark about the care his mother, Margaret, received.
Last Friday evening my mother, Margaret sadly passed away in Sunshine ICU.
I wanted to pass on my sincere thanks to the staff that helped me through the harrowing last hours of Mum’s life and did their best to look after her. They were compassionate and caring to the utmost and took the time to explain exactly what was happening each step of the way.
I wish I could recall their names but it’s still a bit of a blur and hurts too much when I think back.
If my heartfelt thanks could be passed on to the individuals involved I’d be most grateful.
Thank you and I stand in awe of the job your ICU staff are doing.
