Memorandum

A NSQHS Accreditation Survey is being held between 4 – 8 December 2023.

The NSQHS Accreditation page on the Live Best Care site is your one stop shop for information on the Survey. This page contains FAQs to help you understand what will happen during NSQHS Accreditation Survey, the Survey Timetable, and tools to support you through the Survey.

Surveyors will be visiting all clinical and clinical support areas, and may visit a range of corporate areas as well.

The Accreditation Timetable will not be available immediately as we need to liaise with the Lead Surveyor to finalise it. The timetable will be loaded to the  NSQHS Accreditation page  as soon as possible, noting this should be no later than midday Friday. Once available, check if there is specific day and time scheduled for the Surveyor to visit your area(s), and inform staff rostered for that day. If no specific day and time scheduled for a visit to your area(s), the Surveyor may still visit other areas if time permits. Staff may also be asked questions by the Surveyor outside of their area.

All services are requested to use the Accreditation Survey clinical and non-clinical service checklists available through the NSQHS Accreditation page in the 24 working hours leading up to Survey, and each day of the actual Survey.

Please also feel free to contribute to accreditation survey communications by using the meeting background on the NSQHS Accreditation page for any online meetings you attend between now and end of survey.

Good luck and remember the best way you can approach an accreditation survey is to show Accreditation Surveyors we live best care everyday, everywhere, every time.

Best Care is care that is person-centred, co-ordinated, safe and right for each patient/consumer’s needs.
