Today marks the beginning of Reflection and Recovery Week (formerly Positive Workplace Week).

During this week, we, alongside the senior leadership team, will be focusing on connecting with staff across all Western Health sites.

We’re here to listen and hear

We acknowledge that 2023, like preceding years at Western Health, has been an a huge agenda and our employees have gone above and beyond to support the implementation of EMR phase 2 and the onboarding of the Mental Health and Dame Phyllis Frost Services into Western Health, as well as ongoing work on our huge capital projects.

This week we want to take the time to talk to you all about this.  We want to know from you, what we did well and how you can be better supported at Western Health.

We would like to collect honest feedback and suggestions from our employees and volunteers, in addition to the recent Pulse Survey and the ongoing People Matter Survey, to enable Western Health to identify areas for improvement.  In particular, we want to know what really matters to you the most.

So if you see senior leaders in your work area, please stop for a chat, let them know how you are, where you’re struggling and how they can help you.

There will also be feedback cards and collection boxes at all sites for further comments. We want to hear, and we are prepared to listen to your feedback.

This week is also the final week to have your say through the People Matters Survey. The survey takes roughly 20 minutes to complete, and you have until November 17 to complete it, should you want to.

Inspirational people

The Inspire Awards will be held on Wednesday, 15 November at 3pm. These awards recognise and celebrate staff and volunteers whose actions promote a positive workplace culture and inspire us to live our values of compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and safety.

Tune in to see some of the wonderful people we have here at Western Health who inspire others. Tune in and watch live.
