As you know we are currently unable to take incoming phone calls to Western Health sites and services, due to the national Optus outage.

Patient services remain unaffected.

We will provide regular updates, and we thank you for your patience while we work through this issue.

Within Western Health sites the following information will assist staff:

  • Emails, pagers and 2222 services are still operating as normal;
  • Internal calls can still be made between our sites by using the 5 digit extension number (with the exception of Harvester Clinic, PARC’s and Braybrook);
  • Lift phones at Sunshine Health (including Joan Kirner ) are not currently operational – additional patrols of these lifts have commenced. However, if you hear the audible lift alarm please contact 2222 immediately;
  • All carparking systems are down – boom gates have been lifted to allow entry/exit to carparks;
  • Please use email to contact your Ward/Department leadership team or Workforce Units.
